The new sidewalls look very reassuring and to improve side impact protection by introducing a rigid double wall structure. This means that in any accident the outer wall compresses to reduce the amount of energy that is transferred to our child. Both car seats have a seat base width of 17 inches, but the Rainier is wider 6 inches more in top and this may affect whether or not user can fit 3 in a row across the back seat in vehicle.
